Do you enjoy drinking coffee?

Every morning I start a day with a cup of coffee. Morning coffee is just like a vitamin for me. After I drink it, I can pay attention to my work better. Is the coffee really helpful or not?? I heard from news that too much coffee is harmful to our body because it contains lots of caffeine. Just a cup of coffee a day, however, reduces the risks of heartattack and diabetes.

Do you know how the coffee was found for the first time?? I read in the book. Here is the origin. One day a shepherd found a sheep which got strength after it came back home from a field out there. The shepherd followed the sheep and tried to find out what the secret was. The secret was coffee beans. Definitely nowadays coffee is worldwide most popular drink in the world. I like to drink coffee too. I find that one or 2 cups in the morning helps boost my energy level and adds some "zip" to my lesson presentations in my classes.

The main drawback for me is that if I drink too much coffee, I tend to start speaking too quickly for my students. In addition to the side-effect of speaking too quickly, too much coffee can make me "gassy" too. This is perhaps the most unwelcomed result of coffee consumption for me.

Coffee is so wonderful with some other things too. It definitely has a "complementary nature" to it for (1) people who like to eat chocolate; (2) people who like to eat cakes and absolutely for (3)people who like to smoke. In fact, people who try to quit smoking usually have to give up coffee consumption as well.

Finally, coffee has other uses. According to the Wikipedia article I just read, coffee grounds make for good fertilizer in gardens. I would read more about this before I add it to my garden. I don't want to change the pH too much. Another use for coffee was first presented to me by one of my students about 5 or 6 years ago. She showed me a tie-dyed T-shirt that she had made from coffee. It was beautiful! In the same Wikipedia article I just read, they listed coffee as a potential "watercolor". It seems that making a stiff cup of coffee is a good way to produce a useful brown watercolor medium. Different shades of brown can be achieved by diluting the coffee. Being the 6th largest agricultural product in the world behind wheat, maize, soybeans, palm oil and sugar, I have to wonder "why is it so expensive?" Why do you think it is so expensive for such an enormously mass-produced crop?

I am not a huge fan of coffee. I like coffee but I don't drink it every day. However, I can see many teachers around me start their day with coffee.

Many words are going on whether coffee is good for health or not.
I am not into coffee but I do agree with this opinion that it can boost your energe. I'm impressed by joeschmoe's reply. There are various ways to use coffee rather than just drinking.
It's around 3 pm. I'm going to use coffee for drinking now..^^
